| Submission: | Subject to the rules and procedures for the national convention, a proposed policy resolution will be put to a vote at a national convention where policy resolutions are being considered if it has the supporting signatures of delegates from over twenty-nine percent (29%) of electoral district associations, and those signatures are submitted to the Executive Director. However, it must follow the same process as the other proposed policy resolutions, i.e. be debated and adopted at the corresponding session before going to plenary. |
| Rationale: | This amendment provides the same type of process for policy proposals to advance at a national convention that exists in the Party's Constitution for constitutional amendments. It will allow for proposals with widespread support to be put to a vote at Convention. It will also act as a check and balance between the party members and the National Policy Committee. |
